My name is Joseph Lehman. I am a blue-collar worker, a small business owner, a devoted husband, and a proud father of three. Working full-time at a local manufacturing mill while building my own business gives me a firsthand understanding of both the struggles that working families and small businesses across Oregon face every single day. I am not a career politician. I am an average Oregonian who believes the people of this district deserve honest leadership and real representation. In addition to my work in the private sector, I currently serve as Chair of the Libertarian Party of Linn County and Secretary of the Independent Candidate Network. These leadership roles have allowed me to work directly with people across the political spectrum who are frustrated with the failures of the two-party system and who believe voters deserve more choices, greater transparency, and representatives who are accountable to the people rather than party insiders. That experience has strengthened my commitment to bringing independent thinking, constitutional principles, and grassroots leadership to Congress. Like many Americans, I have grown tired of politicians on both sides of the aisle putting party politics, special interests, and personal gain ahead of the people they were elected to serve. While hardworking citizens struggle to afford groceries, housing, healthcare, and fuel, career politicians continue pushing the same failed solutions that have left our communities weaker, more divided, and increasingly ignored. For far too long, powerful corporations, wealthy insiders, and even foreign lobbying interests have had a louder voice in Washington than the American people themselves. The citizens of this country should always come first. Our government was created to serve Americans, not political elites, lobbyists, or outside interests looking to influence our nation for their own benefit. I am running for Congress to bring common sense, transparency, accountability, and strong leadership back to government. I believe leadership should be earned through hard work, honesty, and the courage to stand up for everyday people, not bought through backroom deals or political connections. This campaign is about restoring trust in government and giving working Americans a voice again. It is about fighting for safer communities, stronger families, economic opportunity, and a future where our children can thrive right here in Oregon. I am not running to become part of the system; I am running because the system has failed too many hardworking Americans for too long.
